Jonathan Kenneth Santos returned to his creator on Sept. 4, 2020. He was a loving son and best friend to his dad, Jose Ramon (Pitto) Santos.

Jon was born in Manila, Philippines on Dec. 13, 1977 where he spent his early childhood years surrounded by his extended family. In 1987, he and his family relocated to the U.S., where they started in California and eventually settled down on the east coast in NJ and NY.

Jon graduated from Rutgers University majoring in Environmental Policy, Institutions and Behavior. He worked in New York City as an Environmental Lab Technician and Research Scientist Associate at REAC, a Lockheed Martin contractor for the EPA, and as an Environmental Analyst at NYC Department of Transportation.

Jon was a very intelligent, fun and thoughtful son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, grandson, and friend. He was passionate about music of all genres, sports (Go Rutgers!), and movies - in fact, he never failed to reference his favorite movie quotes. He had a great fashion sense and a very sophisticated palate. He was kind-hearted, generous, and enjoyed being in the company of his family and friends. He supported important social causes, always remembered special occasions and cared a great deal for animals and the environment.

In his final years, he resided in West Covina, CA with family.

He will be sadly missed by his father, Pitto, his stepmoms, Maria & Eugenia, his sister, Celina, his 2 loving cats, Alison and Mersault, his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

May you rest in peace Jonathan…you will be missed and forever be in our hearts.
