Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania U.S. The family was British by nationality. John boarded Lusitania with his parents and 4 older siblings Stephen (14) Alberta (12) Catherine (10) Romily (9) and infant brother Peter and their nurse Dorothy Allen as 1st class. On May 7, 1915 Lusitania was struck by a torpedo from a German U-boat in the Mid-Atlantic ocean. Even though the whole family was unaware of the tragedy, they all lost their lives in the sinking. John's body was recovered as well as his older brother Stephen's and baby brother Peter.
2. The oldest sibling Stephen was born in Russia, the second oldest was born in New York.
3. The 3rd child Catherine was born in London.
4. During the voyage a passenger who had a cabin next door to the Cromptons stated they were the loudest family aboard the ship.

Even though some passengers say you were the loudest family on board, you still suffered a fatal tragedy. Rest in peace, little man. :'(
