Santa Monica on 16 February 1914
Cobh, on 07 May 1915
1 years, 2 months
Age 15 months. Boarded Lusitania as 2nd class with her mother Norah and her brother Paul (3) to visit their relatives in England. On May 7, 1915 Lusitania was struck by a German torpedo in the Mid-Atlantic ocean. Norah pleaded anyone she knew during the voyage to fetch her son who was sleeping in their cabin. Norah handed her baby to a random man to fetch her son. The man somehow lost sight of the baby. Norah and Paul survived the sinking. But Betty did not.

I just read this, Little Betty would have been my great great aunt. I thought I would re-read through family history. Your comment was so beautifully written and brought a tear to my eye! Thankyou!
